The Native Korean Sword (Sword Masters Program) is one of Five (5) Minor Fields of Study Programs that the ITA encourages thier Black Belts to study. These fields are Ground Escape, CDT (Personal Protection), Tactical Short Stick, Extreme Forms, and Han Mu Do. Every ITA Black Belt is encouraged to broaden and strengthen their Martial Arts Knowledge base. Exposure to different instructors, thoughts and concepts within the structured ITA environment is healthy. EVERY ITA BLACK BELT SHOULD DEVOTE THE MAJORITY OF THEIR TIME PURSUING THE STUDY OF ITA TAEKWONDO WITHIN THE LIMITS OF THE PUBLISHED CIRRICULUM. These programs are historically tied to the Hwa Rang Warriors of Korean history, an elite group of young people who were warrior/philosophers who believed in the betterment of themselves and their Society. Equiptment for the Minor Fields of Study Program will be ordered upon enrolement. Equiptment includes: Minor Field of Study Uniform Top and Patches, Helment with face shield, Soft Sword, Wooden Sword, Short Stick and unlimited attendance to all Black Belt Convention classes at the Academy. Ask your Instructor for details. Only Black Belts are allowed to participate in the weapons portion of this program. Purple Belts and above may participate in Free Design Forms and CDT. White through Blue Senior Belts may participate in CDT at additional cost. To learn more about these supplemental training programs please read here.
